Privacy Policy

Rooster Club ("we", "us") operates the Rooster Club marketplace and community app. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

1. What we collect

We collect the phone number you sign up with, your name and profile details, your location (state, district, mandal), the listings, posts, photos, videos and messages you create, and basic usage information. To verify sellers we also collect KYC documents — a masked Aadhaar or other government ID photo (with most digits hidden) plus a selfie — which are stored securely in our database.

2. How we use it

We use your information to run the marketplace: to show your listings and profile, connect buyers and sellers, send relevant notifications, verify sellers, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the app.

3. KYC documents

KYC documents are stored privately in our database and are visible only to our review team — never to other users. We ask you to upload a masked Aadhaar or other government ID (with most digits hidden), so we do not receive or store your full ID number. We keep both photos — your masked ID and your selfie — securely on file as your verification record and to prevent fraud, for as long as your account is active. They are deleted when you delete your account (see section 8), except where we must keep limited records for legal or fraud-prevention reasons.

4. What others can see

Your name, photo, farm details, badges, listings, and posts are visible to other signed-in users. Your phone number is shared with users you choose to deal with so you can be contacted. Profiles are not visible to people who are not signed in.

5. Service providers

We use trusted providers to operate the app, including Supabase (database and authentication), Cloudflare R2 (media storage), a telephony provider for sending one-time sign-in codes by SMS, and Expo with the platform push services (Apple and Google) for notifications. They process data only to provide these services.

6. Acquisition source

At signup we may ask how you heard about us. This is used only to understand where new users come from, in aggregate.

7. Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we permanently remove your profile and personal data, except limited records we must keep for legal, fraud-prevention, or dispute reasons, kept only as long as necessary.

8. Your rights and account deletion

You can edit your profile any time. You can delete your account and associated data from Profile → Delete account inside the app, which removes your profile, listings, posts, chats, and KYC documents. You can also request account and data deletion without installing the app by emailing support@roosterclub.co.in — we will verify your phone number and delete your account. 9. Children

Rooster Club is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
